Beginning August 10th, Miss Monica June is hosting a fun blog hop at 'From the Learning Room' for teen homeschool bloggers who are preparing to get back to their homeschool routines.

She said, "I wanted to come up with a way for us homeschool teen bloggers to get to know each other better and learn about the different ways we each homeschool."

So hop on over and get the details and prepare your first post for this coming Monday. GGM will be participating too and you'll find out about some of the fun back to homeschool things we have planned as well.

If you want to let your mom know about another fun blog hop, let her know about Mrs. Darcy who has been hosting a Not So Back to School Blog Hop for moms. Moms can still post links to the previous two weeks and continue visiting other homeschool mom blogs too.

The HomeSpun Life is my homeschool blog where I share links to fun educational websites and blogs that are free to use. I'm also writing reviews of these websites so your moms can quickly read the basics of why I feel those sites are the best among thousands that I check out each year.

We also began a much needed pledge to Blog with Grace, inspired by Blog with Integrity, for teen bloggers. Too many times we see drama between bloggers and we want to turn that around into a positive direction by pledging to one another that we will Blog with Grace. A Woman Inspired has a teen girl conference coming up in a couple of weeks called God's Girls.

It will be held online August 21-22.

Session times will be:
Friday 8/21, 6pm and 8:30pm CST
Saturday 8/22, 8:30am, 10am, 11:30am, and 1pm CST

Greater Is He Who Is In Me

Today is voting day throughout our entire nation. Millions of people will be practically holding their breath waiting to see who our next President will be and a few states are facing the vote of protecting marriage as being between a man and a woman. Adults who are registered to vote can feel confident in who they're voting for, yet for those 17 and younger it may feel a bit frightening.

We want to address our young readers here at Growing in Grace Magazine. We fully understand that our vote will affect the next four years of your life. You don't have a choice in voting, but you DO have a voice with the one who rules our world from your heavenly home above.

Billions of people think they have a voice, really only get their voices heard by other humans. Yet, YOUR voice goes to the very throne room of God Almighty. We could potentially be entering a time of uncertainty in this nation and even those in other nations will feel the effect of what is about to happen. Then again, God may have something completely different in store for us. No matter what happens know this: God loves you!

God is still the creator of this universe and controls what happens in our lives. Sometimes things happen that we are not comfortable with, but we know that God is always watching and God provides for his faithful children. (Both young and old) Please be in prayer throughout the day as we await the final answer from our nations leaders.

Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

1 John 4:4, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

Home Educators Appreciation

October is the month that many homeschooling families begin their school year and/or file their private school status with the state. We know that our country just honored 'teachers', yet so many times home educators go unnoticed. Growing in Grace Magazine is not forgetting the hard work and dedication that parents give to their children. During the month of October we are going to have a very special giveaway for three special home educators. We are setting aside a day to honor all home educators and will be giving away three prize packages.

b. Up to five years of homeschooling
c. Up to ten years + of homeschooling

Join The GGM Contributors Group

GGM is inviting young ladies to join the GGM Contributors Group. We know there are many ladies out there who enjoy writing and we would like to give you an opportunity to have something of yours published! Each month article assignments will be given out, which you can write and submit to be chosen for publishing in the magazine.

At this time we are only accepting a limit number of young ladies to join the group so if this is something you're interested in please send in your information as soon as you can. Please have your parents' permission before contacting GGM. Also, please read our Submission guidelines before contacting as well so you know what we strive for and expect out of our writers.

Prayer Request
