Miss Jessica C.

Hello dear reader! As you probably gathered from the title, my name is Jessica. I am 18, recently graduated and now passionately learning to live and love the life Christ has called me to! I am the second oldest in a family of 11 children.

I enjoy many activities, but the main things include sewing, harp, photography, reading and blogging. However, with all those personal “diversions” the Lord has been teaching me that they are insignificant when compared with his work and calling as a daughter and sister.

I realize that there is truly no greater calling! He has given me a passion not only to be an arrow for Him, but also to exhort young ladies like me to pursue the Lord, seek his perfect will and passionately embrace that calling.

I pray that I can be a blessing through this ministry and that Christ will use this time in my life to prepare me for His future plans.

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." -1 Corinthians 10:31

"Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established." - Proverbs 4:26

A few random things I love (in no particular order) – chocolate, siblings, 2 Tim. 4:6-16, dogs, coffee, sewing, watching fingers dance on harp strings, Jane Austen, the Edwardian era, old cars, friends, classic literature, canon cameras, cooking, North and South (Elizabeth Gaskel), red trucks and black ’55 Chevrolets, writing, Ephesians, and romantic music (classical music written from 1815 to 1910).

Miss Jessica C. blogs at Seasons of a Heart.

What We Believe

We are a team of homeschool ladies who write for the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in:

-God: God the Father, God the Son; Jesus Christ, and God; the Holy Spirit.

-Salvation: by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not by works.

-The Living Word: is Jesus Christ himself and His Word is written upon the tables of the heart. Jesus Christ is our Great Shepherd. We have equal access to beseech the throne of God without having a human man, woman, or deceased human as a mediator. Jesus Christ is our Mediator.

-The Holy Spirit: is the Spirit of God sent to indwell the believer and empower them to walk in Christ. He is our Teacher and Comforter. He intercedes, daily, on our behalf.

-The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: are given for the believer as he/she walks in Christ, according to His divine assignment in their lives.

-The True Church of Jesus Christ: is a spiritual house of living stones, prominently called The Body of Christ. Worship facilities used for corporate worship are just that, buildings.

-The Head of The Body/Church: is Jesus Christ our Lord. Man does not have authority over God's people, nor should he seek to usurp authority over Christ nor attempt to be equal to Him, in the lives of The Bride.

-The Body, known as The Bride of Christ: consists of those believers who trust in Christ alone as the Saviour and Promised Messiah. These members are joined to the Church by trusting in Christ, not by joining a membership of a local religious organization.

-The Fruits of the Spirit: are natural occurrences that manifest in the life of the believer. They can not simply be copied and added to our lives by our own human effort.

-Education: begins and belongs within the family unit as assigned to parents by God Almighty. We do not believe the education should be given to another individual outside the family unit.

-We believe in the written Word of God: as our tangible copy of the Living Word. At GGM we use KJV and sometimes The Geneva Bible in our articles. We realize there is controversy over the different versions of the Word of God, so to limit argument and confusion we use these as our English Translations on this website.
